KIVRA Management Committee

The Management Committee handles the planning and daily administration of the Kinanda Valley Residents Association. Out of this committee, three sub-committees were created to specifically handle the following roles:

  1. Development
    – handles all issues regarding proper & legal development (construction) within KIVRA’s territory. It also sounds the alarm against any illegal property developments which might warrant legal action.
  2. Security
    – handles all issues regarding disseminating best security practices, building & maintaining walkie talkie network, crime & so forth.
  3. Roads and Social & Welfare
    – handles issues regarding road planning, construction & repair within KIVRA’s boundary. Also aims to provide a community framework for improving or promoting a positive social outlook for all inhabitants in KIVRA’s territory.

Jacqueline Resley

Jacqueline has lived in Kinanda Valley since the late 1980s. She is very passionate about residents associations and how members can use their collective voices in order to effect or enforce sensible residential property policies that would benefit all Kenyans. As a founding member of Nairobi’s “We Can Do It!” community activism, Jacqui dedicated a great deal of her free time as a volunteer community advisor to previous Nairobi City Councils on smart policies regarding road, building and infrastructure development. She enjoys the great outdoors and will never turn down a well-planned overland camping adventure. As a designer working for the principle Architect who designed the iconic Kenyatta International Conference Center, Jacqui has a very keen interest in architecture, design, textiles, arts & crafts.


James Maitai

KIVRA Board MemberJames moved into Kinanda Valley around 2010. As a team member on one of Africa’s most respected public companies, James has a strong background in the vitally important Telecom industry. Recognising the importance of digitally “connecting communities”,  James is delighted to be a part of an organisation that is, literally, transforming the lives of millions in Africa through the implementation of disruptive mobile technologies.


Maria Nzisa

KIVRA Board MemberMaria has been a resident of Kinanda Valley since 1999. As the community has grown on her, she has “a strong commitment to make Kinanda Valley a better place for all of its inhabitants.” Having a strong desire to see Kenya develop to its full potentials, Maria committed herself to influencing future minds by working in the vital Education field. Afterwards, she moved on to the Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation field in order to help public and private organisations achieve successful project outcomes.


Inga RN

KIVRA Board MemberBorn in Kenya but raised on 2 continents, Inga has been a resident of Kinanda Valley for over 3 decades. By profession, she is an Administrator with a keen interest in arts & crafts, bookkeeping, cooking, dogs, community development and gaming.
